The CANBUSview XL III is a universal measuring instrument for commissioning, analyzing, monitoring, fault finding and maintenance of CAN bus systems. CANBUSview XL III is a tool for analyzing the electrical signal and detecting wiring errors in CAN, CANopen, DeviceNet, or J1939 network installations. The CANBUSview XL III is designed to assist Technicians/Engineers in the analysis and troubleshooting of CAN equipment, in the search for communication errors and also to minimize unplanned shutdowns (failures) of CAN networks.
Benefits
How does it work?
Typical malfunctions during the operation of CAN-based systems, such as node failure, communication errors or a complete shutdown of the installation, are often caused by problems at the physical layer of the bus. In principle, devices sending messages with a poor signal quality have a high probability of failing. The CANBUSview XL III tool provides an overview of the signals on the bus, which allows the causes of regular errors to be quickly identified and corrected. In addition, the tester also provides the most important analysis logic functions as usually found in protocol analyzers only.
It can be used for all bus systems with 11 or 29-bit identifiers that comply with ISO 11898-2 and the base model supports the Layer 2 CAN protocol. With add-ons, the CANBUSview XL III tool can also support CANopen, DeviceNet, and SAE J1939 protocols. This support can be enabled at any time on the device with a license. Since the transmission speed is determined automatically and the BusScan connects itself, the CANBUSview XL III can be easily and quickly connected to the system to be analyzed and commissioned in the same way. The measurement results are automatically assigned to the network nodes or the respective CAN IDs.
