FUNCTIONS of PROFIBUS PB-Q ONE

The PB-Q ONE reliably detects and evaluates the status of the physical and logical transmission quality in the network. The hardware is largely non-responsive to the PROFIBUS network by a supplied adapter. With the PROFIBUS PB-Q ONE tester, the transmission levels of slaves in operation can be physically evaluated and displayed by a measuring bar graph that also takes into account the 7Volt drivers of modern PROFIBUS devices. All measurement and test results can be displayed and saved on the PC via supplied software. The software is easy to use. Clear menu navigation allows you to switch between diagnostic and expert mode.

Signal quality

The PROFIBUS tester is able to determine the value of the voltage difference as well as the signal shape during PROFIBUS telegram transmissions. The results are visualized in the form of a bar chart, showing a quality value for each bus device analyzed.

Signal-to-Noise Ratio

The signal-to-noise ratio indicates the shortest distance between a logical "0" and the logical "1". It shows how much a device's signal is affected by external interference or signal fluctuations. It helps to recognize sporadic physical errors.

Device Details

All bus devices are presented in a tree diagram, including the address, module name, and device symbol. Color highlighting (green, yellow, red) provides a quick assessment of the status of each device

Telegram mode

Telegram mode expands the range of analyses. A large number of filters and triggers are available to analyze data traffic in terms of events but also certain data content.

DP Master Simulator Mode

The built-in master simulator is designed to determine the topology of the actual wired bus and analyze the signal quality of the connected bus devices. The master simulator is used in offline mode without an automaton.
