The RevPi Connect IIoT open source gateway offers users maximum freedom when implementing IIoT projects due to its open platform concept (including full root rights). RevPi Connect 4 is based on the Raspberry Pi CM4 compute module 4 and includes a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of eMMC flash memory. A CR2032 battery-backed real-time clock (RTC) ensures that the device always knows what time it is, even in the event of a power outage. A specially modified Raspbian version with a real-time patch is available as an operating system. Common IIoT protocols like MQTT and OPC UA are supported to transfer machine data directly to the cloud. The RevPI Connect 4 supports I/O modules. The device has WLAN or Bluetooth connectivity. In addition to the integrated antenna of the compute module, an external antenna can be connected via an SMA socket for optimal reception.
